Since my blog has almost zero follower and doesn't get that much traffic I think its safe for me to write more about sensitive issue and not get a phone call from ISA, right? But still i won't take that risk. Pardon me for my English cause I'm not that educated and I'm just writing based on my observation and thoughts. So just chillax.
So lately there's been a lot of shit happening in the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur regarding the Bersih 2.0 rally that's going to happen this 9 July . Its politic that I'm gonna touch about in this entry, cause as we all know it is corrupted as ever and the corruption and conspiracy in the Govt will never end, no matter who run's it. What I'm gonna talk about more is how the people react towards this radical movement, the impact done and what 'we' as the people think of, if this will do any good to the country now or in the future. note - This is only based on observation and 'kopi talk' among me and my friends.
So far if you watched on television or the newspaper such as Star, Utusan or Berita Harian you will find that most of the article written about Bersih rally and their organizer are mostly negative comments cause as we all know this media are controlled by the Govt and the pro-Govt so you can not trust this kind of information cause its one sided and biased. If you want to know the truth you have to read the article and watch the opinion of both side cause by doing that you can tell or make your own judgement and conclusion about what's right and what's not.
Bersih 2.0 main objective is demand for a clean and fair election or in other terms free of corruption, or so they claimed. But the Govt and pro-Govt are saying that this is a rebellion and pledge for a riot and spreads of the idea of Anarchy in Malaysia, disrupting peace and creating a fiasco in Malaysia, or so they claimed. Well I think that the Govt are scared and intimidated by the opposition party that they are turning the people against them. While the Perkasa are just dumb religious and racist bigots trying to oppressed the non-Malay and say that they have no rights whatsoever in this country. And its this bunch of people that are turning the Bersih rally into something dangerous cause they are the one posing the threats and making it hostile for the people. They used the idea of 13 Mei (dark history of Malaysia, googled it yourself) as a threat to scare off the non-Malay and even the Malay so that the rally won't take place.
Most of Malaysian people are just passive about this kind of dangerous situation so some decided that Bersih is the main factor that this 9 July are going to turn bloody and dangerous. So they claimed that Bersih 2.0 is a recipe for disaster and the rally must not happen at all cost for their safety. While some are just scared of the ISA and Perkasa. Plus the emergency-ordinance under the ISA are being enforced and anyone wearing yellow/Bersih t-shirts are going to be arrested and detained for questioning. While some decided that it is not to their interest to harm themselves and that this ruckus does not concern them and their daily live and prefer to ignore it.
Most of the youngsters are enthusiast about this rally and some decide to join the Bersih 2.0 rally. But I think what the Govt are really trying to do is that, they're planting the seed of fear inside the heart of the people. That if your idea is too radical and if you dare questioned our authority as the ruler, this country will be in a state of chaos. Even a peaceful demonstration is rated as a riot is that democracy? I know we're not a liberal country but don't we have the rights to demand for clean election? you decide.
Well that kind of reaction usually comes from the lower-class and middle class people, that are not pro-Govt or most likely neutral. If they're the pro-Govt type or the typical 'Malay' they usually will say 'this country is already in a state of peace, and why are you people questioning the Govt, the Govt have put a lot of effort and money to sustain this country, have you no sense of appreciation towards them'. This happen cause they are the uneducated type of people, they didn't know that the money used by the Govt is actually their money, OUR money that are collected by paying tax. They are pampered by the subsidy the Govt provide, but they don't realize that the projects or development happening has a lot of loops and cost too high for the construction they done. There's a lot of money being spend for a low grade construction, this shows that there's a lot of 'money play' in the development side. So this actually are good for the Capitalist as this benefits them a lot. So they are always on the side of Govt, and the Govt will always side on them. But this is another facts that corruptions will happen during election when they promise to build this and that to the people.
But that has been bit out of topics, but I'm just saying it so that you'll know. What are going to happen in Malaysia has already happened in US and Australia but we don't realize that cause we're a young country that has been independent for only 60 years, compare to them they've been independent for 200 years or more. This process will definitely happen sooner or later. The process that determines what type of country Malaysia will turn into. And the people are the one to decide, what type of Govt are better to shape it. Liberal is too harsh for Islamic country so we put this country on the democracy side, but it is not in the favor of the non-Bumiputera so this is actually the dispute we're having right now. Bersih is like a catalyst or some sort, towards shaping this country through building a better Govt. I'm not suggesting you anything, I'm stating you the choice. So you decide whether Bersih 2.0 would do this country any good or not.
First of all, question yourself is Malaysia really a democracy country or is the ISA doing us any good. Second do you find that it is fair to all the Malaysian that is not the 'Bumiputera' living and working as hard as the 'Bumiputera' in this country being treated like an Immigrants. Third are we turning to a Liberal country or do we want the idea of Malaysia becoming a Liberal country such as Australia and America. Fourth - do you think the Malaysian Flag, the 31st August and the lagu Negaraku really state the true Malaysia?
That is all folks. Quite long entry if you ask me. Thanks for reading my bullshit. HAHA.
